EXCITING PROJECT MILESTONE: PRINCETON UNIVERSITY ART MUSEUM

We are thrilled to share Celia’s news: as Global Head of Exhibition Design at Adjaye Associates Celia was responsible for the design development of the new suite of 22 architecturally embedded display cases for the Princeton University Art Museum.
Designed to integrate art directly into the architecture of the museum, these state-of- the-art cases, conceived by Adjaye Associates and detailed under Celia’s leadership, transform circulation spaces into active learning and exhibition environments. Highlights include four monumental double-sided glass cases along a 24/7 public campus walkway—showcasing works currently studied in art history courses—creating a live connection between academic life, students, and the museum’s collection. In the Great Hall, additional corner cases serve as inviting gateways into the galleries, echoing the architectural spirit of Louis Kahn’s Exeter Library by framing art as discovery.
Developed in collaboration with Goppion Museum Workshop in Milan, the suite features advanced engineering, including staff-accessible double-sided cases, a custom “L”- shaped pull-and-slide model, and a six-meter electric-actuated case designed for a historic stained-glass window. Minimal framing, custom bronze detailing, and fully adjustable integrated LED lighting ensure a refined and museum-grade display environment.

IMREY STUDIO EXHIBITION DESIGN | SPANISH STYLE: FASHION ILLUMINATED, 1550–1700

Imrey Studio is proud to share our latest exhibition design project, that opened on November 6th at the Hispanic Society Museum & Library in New York City.
‘Spanish Style: Fashion Illuminated, 1550–1700’ explores how Spain’s Golden Age fashion shaped art, identity, and power in early modern Europe. Set within the museum’s ornate Renaissance courtyard, the exhibition brings to life a moment when Spain’s global empire inspired a fashion revolution. Elite clothing—crafted from materials sourced across the empire—transformed the human silhouette and defined national identity for centuries to come.
Guest-curated by historian Amanda Wunder, the exhibition design by Imrey Studio highlights the splendor and sophistication of this extraordinary period.
