MARTHA'S VINEYARD MUSEUM CAMPUS STRATEGIC PLAN COLLECTIONS ANALYSIS

Massachusetts
2018

Size: 17,500 sq. ft.
Program: Museum and Cultural Center

Imrey Studio was engaged by the Martha's Vineyard Museum to reimagine its approach to collections, mission, and visitor experiences. Our task was to analyze the current state of the museum's collection and strategies, and to develop a comprehensive strategic plan aimed at enhancing growth and engagement.

    This plan addresses multiple facets:
  1. Opportunities for Growth and Development: Identifying potential areas for expansion and improvement.
  2. Audience Engagement: Developing strategies to better connect with and serve diverse audiences.
  3. Visitor Experience: Enhancing the overall experience for visitors through thoughtful design and programming.
  4. Collection Distribution and Nature: Evaluating and optimizing the way the museum's collection is presented and managed.
  5. Future Exhibitions, Partners, and Programming: Planning for future collaborations, exhibitions, and events. By rethinking the architectural typology of both interior and exterior spaces, we aimed to create a cohesive and inviting environment that aligns with the museum's mission and values, ensuring a dynamic and sustainable future for the Martha's Vineyard Museum.
