Yeshiva University Museum is an academic museum whose most ambitious exhibit to date, The Arch of Titus - From Jerusalem to Rome and back, features a life-size polychrome replica of the Roman relief that describes Emperor Titus's Jewish conquests from 70AD. Through artifacts and manuscripts, an ancient story is pieced together.
Our design used lighting and shadows to echo the “bringing into relief” of history's true light from the side of the Jews, who, in losing their precious menorah from the temple in Jerusalem, ended up gaining an identity through its symbolism.
